The 660MW turbine is being installed .This big capacity turbine is generally of Chinese make.India manufactures Max. 500MW capacity turbine.

The Coal conveying system.I took this pic from the top of the boiler .The coal is conveyed here from a distant location .It is pulverised and transferred to Boiler where its is burnt to produce steam which rotates turbine.
The plant overview.The 3 big structures are chimneys.They are used to release flue gases to atmosphere.Their height is around 275m.
This visit was the unique in its own way as it going to be India's largest power plant in terms of power production.It consists of 4 units of 330MW and 5 units of 660MW installed bay wise.It Will be able to deliver almost 4700MW power once synchronized with grid. Imagine Delhi's peak season demand is almost 3800MW,that means it can single handily cater Delhi summer season's demand with still 900 MW in balance.Whoa !
