The ' 8' Imbroglio.

These days I am into a Review Engineering Project .I am submerged in workaholism to such an extent that it is hard to obliterate 'Review ' from 'office apart life'...ha ha ha
Just now I tried to review,I mean introspect my life and discovered Congenital and sturdy relationship with 'Eight' factor.
First of all Evolving myself on 17th .Then wearing a tag of Roll No-8 for 8 semesters with 8th one being the best and happiest of the all.The college life finally culminating with CPI pointing to 8.
Now comes the Beginning of office life. Everyday using NH-8 to reach 'Lahmeyer'(8 alphabets) which is located in Sector-44 .The Entry into which requires a Biometric user identification of '8'.
I know it is just a coincidence ,Probably an intentionally made one.
Whatever the case may be ,It is surely a mind boggling Exercise which prompts me to continue to write!!!!.

Cost effectiveness Vs Quality. Which one is better for an organisation?

Ours is business organisation. Its a Knowledge driven business. Striking a coherence between cost and the quality is really imperative in order to sustain in the market. Our website accentuates the importance of both .It says"we strive to offer our client best quality service at fair price".
Quality
Quality is the face of the company. The company is known for the deliverable it produces.
Q: Why does it every time happen when Nokia/Siemens launches a product and there is a huge surge in the demand and people are ready to compromise with the cost! ?
An obvious Answer:- These companies have established their brand name for their quality and they are simply known for that.
Q :Why does it every time happen when Big software firms like Infosys,TCS,Accenture bent upon to reach high CMM level(Capability Maturity Model) and Six sigma level?
Answer :Because they Know how important is to have a quality brand name to ensure great sense of service and loyalty to the customers.
Quality definitely helps in retaining faith during weathering times. If one gets in Economics ,the law of Diminishing Margin Utility says every product has certain life cycle .During that life cycle one time frame comes when the rate of returns contributed by the product starts depreciating .During that times quality comes as a rescuer. So Creating a good quality product is always advantageous.
More importantly,In a process industry a good quality assurance department always leads to a cost effective product.Say a manufacturing industry a good quality department if finds a technical glitches in the beginning of manufacturing process,Then whole amount of rework is prevented hence a cost effective product is obtained.
Cost effectiveness.
Cost is important to run the finance of the company. The best characteristic of low cost product is simply that it entices the client. In Tough times like this no customer is loyal to anyone.Offering the low cost with same quality as that of competitors will attract the customer.
Not even that, a cost effective product will build long standing strands with the customer.
Cost effectiveness means how effectively one is using the cost to obtain a product or a deliverable. It should not be construed as a low cost. There are different way of reaching to a finalized product. That product has certain benchmark and standard. The most economical way to reach the product without compromising the quality will lead to a cost effective product.Hence,a cost effective product is noway a bad quality product. It indeed is the economical way of producing the economical product.
According to the research conducted by SERI on the downfall of the investment banks in the financial crisis,The main reason for the collapse of companies like GM was lack of restructuring Plans during their good times .These organisation didn't resort to cost effective measures like Restructuring .Then during weathering times it resulted in absolute Mayhem.Hence cost effective measures like restructuring should always be there at any point in time.
British Petroleum is a company which used to take the service of many IT Vendors for running their business unit system, finance system, inventory management system etc. Now Instead of taking service from many IT vendors they opted to get service from single IT Vendor which ultimately saved their huge cost .Such cost effective measures can really be fruitful in tough times.
Too much cost effectiveness is also an unfavourable aspect of business.Too much cost effective will reduce the margins .The insufficient margin can put you out of the business. That margin which could have been utilized to retain the key employees, future expansion is no more . So It is sometimes a business suicide!!!!

The Birthday gift.

Nice to be back in Delhi.Really,Memories are sweeter than anything. It refreshes, revives ,incites whole charisma when one just thinks of it. I carry with myself the unforgettable perennial memories of visit to southern India.
It is always sweet to have a surprise gift, especially when it is on birthday. It came as a big surprise when my HOD called me up on 17th, to tell me about their plans to send me to witness a PG test of BTG of Power plant.I was flabbergasted to know the flight was scheduled next morning for Bangalore. Bangalore is a place which I always wanted to visit.More importantly, while doing a job a short tour of 7 days is really a rejuvenating process ...It is nice to be outside Delhi free from office work ,what one gets in return is the lavish treatment from the client..hahahah..Apart from this,it imparts great knowledge about culture ,likings, behaviour etc about the distantly located people.

Bangalore's eskon temple and Lal bagh are awesome .Hampi , a historical monumental place near bellari district is a perfect example of amalgamation of hindu and islamic culture. This place is stuffed with Ancient monuments, sculptures, rocks and statues . It was a exhilarating experience to know many thing related to southern India apart from plant operation!!!

Fun, Fun and Fun.This is how I can recapitulate the last 7days .

come on India Dikhadoo!!!

India is about to begin its innings...I am in a mood of writing while watching the match ,India Vs England. Its must win situation for both the teams.India desperately needing this win to carry on their hopes to semis..I didn't see India VS West Indies , unluckily India got pulverised that day.I don't want that happening to reiterate now. So Here I am , with them, with my sky rocketing hope reflecting shear amount of optimism of (chasing not so difficult) target of 154 in 20 overs at Lords.

What a shot ! unintended flick by Rohit sharma towards back foot for 4.
Ohh my God ! he is bowled by side bottom. Now comes Suresh raina seemingly confident against the opposition..Side bottom seems aggressive using sledging as a weapon against the new batsmen..
Gauti seems belligerent and focused against opposition..Two 4 s in a row with a beginning of wright's over.
Side bottom is aggressive ,trying to intimidate the young batsmen (suresh raina) with his horrible looks and shabby hairs..
Ohh my god..Again a mistake ,I don't know why these guys are opting to play in air..Suresh Raina is caught by Broad bowled Side bottom..
India seems terribly under pressure with 26/2 in 3.5 overs....Jadeja ,Jadeja is a new batsmen..

Its 12:12 am I don't know Wat's gonna happen..Match seems evenly poised at this moment. and I surely can't sustain longer than this..sleep is sleeping at me!!!.I am surely gonna watch morning news..Good Luck India ,Good night Indians.

A clear mandate.

This election has been an absolute turnover for every political party.Things simple have happened in an aberrant manner taking every one into surprises.First of all congress sweeping more than 200 seats (in the era of alliance party system) individually beyond its expectation.Secondly ,BJP expecting to be single largest party in terms of seats by raising issues of terrorism, inflation ,weak PM , coupled with anti incumbency factor proved feeble in influencing the voters.Thirdly,BSP(mayawati),RJD(lalu prasad),Left parties including third front were expected to be a king maker in the upcoming Govt terribly bited the dust almost getting nothing. These inferences actually indicate that Indian voters are much intelligent than we really think.
NDA's Fiasco.
1) NDA's Projection of Modi as a PM in race reflects the uncertainty about their leadership.Indian voters hardly consider him a secular person.
2) Targeting PM as a weakest one was a big mistake. It surely was not accepted by citizens.
3)I think their whole propaganda ran to prove the UPA govt a fallacy.Their main focus should have been"what they could do while being in power" rather than pointing loopholes in the UPA.The issues like inflation, weak govt hardly drew attention of voters.
4) Instead of expressing solidarity with governing party and nation, when country faced its biggest terrorist attack,NDA resorted to pettish politics and nagging attitude.
4) NDA's role as opposition was not admirable.I remember they interrupted the proceedings of Loksabha many times on unusual reasons squandering money of Indian Tax payers.
UPA 's remarkable win.
1) UPA provided good growth rate while being in power.Average GDP was above 8 during their tenure, which surely is a reflection of good development.7 out of 7 in Delhi proves it.
2)farmers loan waiver, extending taxable income limit directly by 1lakh,a pacifying pay commission even during economic crisis ,definitely led a positive impact on voters.
3)UPA 's projection of rahul gandhi as a youth icon helped them a hell lot in influencing new voters.
4)UPA tough stand on nuke deal was admirable ,With left extracting support from them on this issue resulted in wave of solace for U.P.A .
Rejection of third front.
This election has been a great set back to the third front.
1) Left Party lives in old psychology of communist, reflecting parochialism in their thinking.Their sturdy hellbent opposition to nuke-deal in an energy starved country was a mistake.Partying from UPA on this issue was much bigger mistake .Poor governance in kerala ended their dominance there too.
2)RJD faces its traumatic times.Partying from congress and fighting election individually was a mistake .Undoubtedly, Nistish kumar presented Good governance in Bihar which has resulted in clean sweep.
3)Mayawati's Brahman-Dalit combination this time didn't work.I was expecting her to be a king maker in the upcoming Govt.I am surprised by the resurgence of BJP, congress in.UP.

One thing is clear when voters speak,It is Audible to everyone.

The fearophobia!!!!

For the past few days I have been reneging on my commmitments. A day starting with a commitment of forgetting unforgettable memoirs,a commitment of getting fantabulous appreciation in office, a commitment of reading editorial,a commitment of writing blog,a commitment of evening walk,a commitment of fullfiling the commitments.Every single commitment finally culminating into a damn shackles of abortive attempt, euphemistically biting the dust.Fridays are good,I dont know why it was peculiar today.Anyway, more importantly,It is imperative to put a demarcating line on 'before and after 6 'life.I dont know when i am gonna learn this!!!

I was wondering how fiercely the 10Th class students must be facing 'The Pressure' upon the approach of Board exams.Almost 14 Lakh students gave the first one few days back.March is cadaverous month more for Parents than student themselves. No holi ,just diwali ,diwali and diwali.!!!The first one must have been S.St for sure.S.St is a deadly subject which requires intensive preparation. Its division into History, civics, geography, economics transforms into a impeccable epitome of fear.It is catostrohic .For me ,reading it was chasing rainbows!!Mummy has a every good reason to get appreciation for her unrelenting support during my Sst's preparation'getting coldfeet journey'.I swotted hard for this subject especially from 'Kundra and Bawa.'The paper went awesome,However the marks (64)reflected something else.Probably the bloody abysmal Handwriting was one of the caretakers.

These are 'no less than trauma' events which one confronts in life not because of studying hard but due to experiencing new events.New center,New invigillator,New sorrounding altogether for a sapling .But encountering the first one makes the person more immune to face the next one.Everthing tends to become normal after that.

C.B.S.E really has done a commendable job by alleviating the pressure. The introduction of more practical marks, less questions,Buffer time allotment are really good measures in right direction.Surely, Board exams are no way the adjudicators of a person's potential. It is just a harbinger of challanges ahead in life.

Hassa toh phassa.

Imagine a situation where there is a serious discussion going on "the layout design of a substation" in conference room.Members in a meeting include G.E.T,engineer,senior engineers, top barons of company from electrical department.Presenter is seriously givings his thoughts on "one and half circuit breaker scheme","double breaker scheme, blah blah..suddenly there errupts a sound of giggle.
"hey bhagwan!"I dont know what has happened to me.life is really after me.I just cant restrain my laughter. Its not a laughter, its chortle and thats because of no reason. This was happening to me forsome last 5meetings or so.During those meeting i managed to control my laughter to very extent ,but this thrusday meeting was a blunder where I thunder!!!.I should not have attented that training session.
My H.O.D was sitting adjacent to me.My suppressed laughter was noticable to every member,He too must have noticed it though didnt react on that.Probably, It is a seriousness of meeting which incites my laughter.I dont know how to control this laughter. Sometimes I think there exists a valve in a conference room which vents laughing gas ,this laughing gas affects me only. This bloody laughter is driving me bananas.Meeting always starts with good note of levity, but as seriousness increases ,it almost becomes impossible to control the laughter.I think good old school days of laughter are back but there is no 'vipul gupta 'with me.
This is really a childishness.I seriously need to address this issue .I can even afford to buy some laughter control pill if It all exists.I am expecting good"dressing down " someday from my sirs and mams.
Morever ,I dont want to hear people saying"his mind has undergone terrible short circuit".
hmmm... i need some air.

Resurrection.

I love pets, especially young ones of animals.,mummi loves them too.I remember once during college days I showed some puppies to my college mates.Aamena ,as usual ,shot them with good proficiency. Those days are no more..I tried my hands to capture some scenes during our lunch time stroll.
Patel, my cabin mate provided the weapon to explore one sunny afternoon.

Deluge of surprises or a surprise of deluge?

CNBC TV 18,I am just suckor for it. As an investor I was astounded on watching today's breaking news. My interest on this channel has skyrocketed since I became a part of Indian share market (almost 4 months back).Satyam story is still inconceivable to me.I can't fathom out how India's 4th largest IT company with 55000 workforce can have an operated margin of just 3percent.It is beyond my imagination how a company can modify its balancesheet to such an extent putting SEBI and Audit firms into oblivion.
What comes as more surprise to me is Ramalinga Raju's confession about this scandal .Normally,CEO's and chairman hide that until there is final outburst This person made an every last attempt to rescue its company from falling into a ditch.Attempt to buy MAYTAS a month ago proved abortive. It actually eroded the interest of share holders leading to collapse of a share value from almost 230 to 150. Then today's confession resulting an absolute mayhem, derating to 40rs.Speculations are up that it may reach to natural zero.

Market was showing some postive signs for some days.Sensex Today sheded 750 points on the pretext of this news .Todays incident actually have posed questions in spate.

why regard SEBI as a watch dog if it doesnt have an iota of information of a ground situation of a company?
what will happen to 55000 workforce of an already battered IT industry ?
Is there a same situation with Top Indian IT leaders too?
share holder's faith,who is gonna pay ??
Surely this story will cast its shadow on FII' S inclination towards indian market more importantly on auditing firm's credibility.I think this one is biggest after Harshad Mehta's one.

It is time to pause and reflect.
